This also means that there can be no sustainability without peace. Disarmament is a necessary requirement for the survival of humanity, albeit not sufficient. Try telling that to the US military-industrial complex.

Lysistrata? It has a lot to do with changing male culture. We need to stop romanticizing war and start ridiculing militarism. And we need to find other ways of resolving conflicts. Many societies have managed to do so. Unfortunately, everything is moving in the wrong direction at the moment.
