Isn't it simply staggering, to witness how willing humanity is to shoot itself in the foot by choosing to respond to the real danger of climate change by only pretending to take positive action? This example of the fashion industry of course involves the actions of many people, many of whom no doubt are unaware of the trickery and falsehood of the larger group as they work towards their own respective goals, but there are still many who must realize that what they are doing is purely a ruse (that part of it does not happen by accident or by error, but according to plan). Can you imagine how shocked we would all be to discover that a team of firefighters called to the scene of a burning building were prepared to jump out of their vehicles and merely pretend to put out the blaze? This is happening because of money, profits to shareholders, greed, arrogance and cowardice. What's worse is that every aspect of our response to climate change is characterized in some way by the same pretending. We are getting nowhere, fast. The climate is scoring many points while we just pretend to be in the game...
I am positive we have proven over and over, corporate entities are incapable of honest self modification to good neighbor existence. We've known this since Ronnie Rayguns....
