Listen now | Understanding the critical connections between our values, our economy and our world. Nate Hagens is one of the most acclaimed big picture thinkers tackling the sustainability question. He joins me to explain that creating a sustainable future demands tackling social and economic inequalities, and ultimately creating a new system of values.
Thanks for sharing. The work of William Rees is great and this initiative looks solid. Do you know Megan Seibart? I have not encountered her work before.
Another excellent informative podcast Nate put a great deal of my fragmented thoughts into perspective and explained stuff that everyone has to hear to understand there is no easy answer and confront the inevitable shall end head on!
Nate Hagens has just published a video conversation with Daniel Schmachtenberger who I'm sure you've heard of before. Definitely worth a listen for more Big Picture thinking. Daniel is real expert on existential risks and trying to make meaning of the "meta crisis". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bxzo79SjpE
After listening to this fabulous podcast I looked up Nate and have binged listened to about 12 of his podcasts and most of them are fantastic. I have also started watching his online course for his students online - it is really worth checking out. So heartening to see so many good people doing their best!
Hi there, I wasn't creating transcripts when I interviewed Nate (and have recently decided to stop producing them going forward). But if you go to the Planet: Critical youtube channel you can watch the interviews with subtitles. Hope this helps!
Hi, Nate Hagens talks about a research/paper where they work on the pricing of oil - can you please share it, or let us know the title, where to find it?
Here is a plan you should see: https://www.realgnd.org/overview

I only know her through her work and a presentation organized by Megan, Kate Booth, and Tristan Sykes. I feature their work in many articles, but especially this one: https://problemspredicamentsandtechnology.blogspot.com/2021/08/pulling-back-curtain-on-energy.html
A great interview. Look forward to your next one.
Thank you very much for listening and being a part of this community!
